Campo del Cielo (meaningField of Heaven in Spanish) is a field of numerous meteorites located in northern Argentina near the border of Chaco Province and Santiago del Estero Province. It covers an area of 3,000 square km and contains hundreds of meteorites, the largest of which weighs 37 tons.

The meteorites at Campo del Cielo are believed to have landed 4,000 to 6,000 years ago and are composed of iron, nickel, and trace amounts of other elements found in space. They are classified as iron meteorites, meaning they are composed mostly of iron and nickel and are thought to originate from the core of an asteroid.

Campo del Cielo is one of the most famous and well-studied meteorite fields in the world. It has been the source of numerous scientific publications and the subject of numerous meteorite-hunting expeditions.
